Carrier A vs Carrier C licences

APAD issues two classes of freight (goods carrier) licences in Peninsular Malaysia:

Carrier 'A' Licence

"Kenderaan yang membawa barangan untuk sewa atau upah" — vehicles carrying goods for hire or reward. Used by commercial logistics and freight companies.

Carrier 'C' Licence

"Kenderaan yang membawa barangan sendiri" — vehicles carrying the operator's own goods. Used by businesses transporting their own products. Vehicles are marked with a 'C' on the body.

Coverage

Both licences are valid throughout the entire Peninsular Malaysia ("Seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia").
