Carrier A splits into KA for container haulage and A for general (non-container) freight.

Carrier A subcategories

The Carrier A licence has two subcategories based on the type of cargo:

Used for container haulage. Vehicles are marked 'KA' on the body.

Used for general freight other than containers. Vehicles are marked 'A' on the body.
